For this week’s “Raw” programme, WWE will travel to Savannah, Georgia, starting tomorrow. The “WWE SmackDown” standout Sheamus will make an appearance on television in a non-wrestling position while superstars of the red brand prepare for their Money in the Bank go-home event.
The former WWE Champion will host the 2023 NHL Awards, the National Hockey League (NHL) has announced. The competition this year will originate from Nashville, Tennessee’s Bridgestone Arena, and it will be broadcast live on TNT in the United States on June 26 at 8 PM ET. The Sportsnet and TVA Sports channels are available to Canadian viewers to watch the event. Sheamus was born in Ireland, but since moving to Nashville a few years ago, he has found a comfortable place in the music industry.
Sheamus tweeted out his official image ahead of his arrival tomorrow with the phrase “Nashville suited & booted… #NHLAwards.”
Dierks Bentley, a country music recording artist, will serve as the host of the NHL Awards in 2023. 13 regular-season awards will be presented to recognise and honour the league’s top regular-season performers. The award categories for this year include the Hart Trophy for most valuable player, the Calder Trophy for outstanding rookie, the Norris Trophy for outstanding defenseman, the Vezina Trophy for outstanding goaltender, and many others.
Other presenters for the unique event, in addition to Sheamus, are Pekka Rinne of the Nashville Predators fame and the Hockey Hall of Famers Willie O’Ree and Mark Messier. Several country music stars, including Jessie James Decker, Darius Rucker, Dustin Lynch, and Trisha Yearwood, have also been scheduled to present as the NHL Awards will be held in the “Music City” this year.
