A representative for Lohan confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the actress had given birth to her first child with husband Bader Shammas. In Dubai, the 36-year-old gave birth to a child named Luai, which is an Arabic name that means “shield or protector”.
“Lindsay Lohan and Bader Shammas, her finance husband, welcomed Luai, a handsome and healthy kid. The family is incredibly in love, the rep said in a statement to THR.
In March, Lohan revealed she was expecting a child and shared the good news on Instagram. When this happened, Lohan posted a picture of a baby onesie with the message, “We are blessed and excited,” and she tagged Shammas in the post.
On her birthday a year ago, Lohan revealed that she and the investor were married. After three years of dating, Lohan announced her engagement on Instagram in November of last year, according to her reps. In a June interview with Allure, Lohan talked openly about how excited she was to start a family and how she told her husband she was expecting.
“It was really boring. I entered the space and threw the test on the floor. ‘Guess what?’ I exclaimed. He replies, ‘We are?’ she recalled.
Lohan stated, “I can’t wait to experience the feelings and learn what it’s like to just be a mum.” “Glad tears. I just am what I am. However, it’s definitely infantile emotion today. It’s imposing in a positive sense.
She also mentioned the support she had from Jamie Lee Curtis, who said to her, “You just bring the baby with you and everything will be fine.” Jamie Lee Curtis was her co-star on the television show Freaky Friday. (Lohan and Curtis are expected to work together again on the Freaky Friday sequel.)
Curtis posted a picture of herself and Lohan on Instagram along with the message, “MAGIC MONDAY! I recently became a movie grandma thanks to my movie daughter. Blessings to Lindsay and Bader for the birth of Luai!”
