Here are Tour de France 2023 daily stage results and general classification standings

The second and most prestigious Grand Tour of the 2023 men’s road cycling season, the Tour de France, has begun. The 21st and last stage of the race, which will end in Paris on July 23, started on Saturday, July 1 in Bilbao.

Saturday, July 1: Stage 1 is an 182 km medium-mountain race from Bilbao to Bilbao.

Within the final 10 kilometres of the Grand Départ, the Yates twins from Britain broke away from the leading pack, with Adam pulling ahead of Simon in the final kilometre to win his maiden Tour de France stage in Bilbao.

Tadej Pogacar, who is attempting to win his third yellow jersey after losing it to Jonas Vingegaard last year, won the sprint for third and gave the air a fist pump in appreciation for his four-second time advantage over his competitors and for helping his UAE Team Emirates teammate win the stage in northern Spain.

The current champion, Vingegaard, finished in ninth place, securely in the lead group, behind Thibaut Pinot in fourth.
